I see no legitimate reason why the Yankees can't produce a perfect season. Sure their payroll was reduced at the start of the season to a paltry sum of 206mil but that's still more than any other ballclub. If it all comes down to the cash then why must we as dedicated fans have to endure the hardship of an occasional lose to an inferior team with money management issues. This is capitalism folks, and we don't pay top dollar for an inferior product that only gets it right some of the time. So is 162-0 really that much to ask for? Unfortunately we're in mid-April and the Yankees already have 3 losses. I would settle for 159 wins come playoffs.
