It was announced just this past week that the lowly Jets franchise from New Jersey will be forced to again take a backseat to their more legitimate older brother, The New York Giants. At stake this time was the first ever home game to be played at the new field. Comically Jets fans were thinking that they deserved to kick it all off at the new 1.5 billion dollar digs. Who do you think you are kidding? Your team hasn't even been around for half a century and you think that you should be taken as seriously as one of the original and most winning organizations in Professional Football History? Know your role. Get to a Super Bowl. Make your city proud like the Giants and Yankees, don't embarrass yourself like the Mets. Have a little humility and then you just might be able to earn a little pride for a franchise that has spent the past 40 years as a punchline to a bad joke---a punching bag to serious NFL contenders.
